I had some yarn leftovers from the Golden Cables Dress, which I made for my Mom a few years ago. And I thought it would be fun to make a similar little dress for my dolls. Here is how it turned out - my delightful American Girl #22 is proudly modelling her new outfit 👗😃.
I had to do my own stitch calculations, of course, and choose carefully which elements of the original pattern could be accommodated in the tiny 'real estate' of the doll dress. I also deviated from the original design by making the dress in a raglan manner and finishing it by knitting in a round. The sleeves are short - because I did not have more yarn :).
